Imagination is a gift of the gods but also the lack of it. I maintain that without this lack people would already have lost the courage to keep on living. (Morgenstern)
"Intentional stimulation of the observer’s positive imagination“, this is the aim of the artist Michael Bögle, born in Freiburg in 1963. The indian ink- and colour pencil technique, developed by him, helps to reach this principle easily. Bright coloured and slightly indicated figures and forms are put down on paper. He emphasizes the outlines with deep black indian ink. With this, works with a deep insistence are created. His entire artistic spectrum contains more than only drawings.
It includes collages, calligraphic works, artistic packaging (Gubor), caricatures and even concrete sculptures. He is always ready for experiments – mixing classical and modern styles.
